A virus scanner. Does what it says in the name... or does it? Nope it doesn't. Laptop is down for the count again. The virus scanner that the repairman installed failed to do its job. Whenever a box pops up asking to delete any threats, I let it do so. Well for some odd reason it hasn't been doing that since it was installed. Now I'm getting some random security thingy claiming that I have 32 infected thingys and that it will only remove them if I buy the full version of it. Nice try scamming virus checker, nice try. Because I have other virus detecting programs installed and all of them have not picked up any infected files. I think something or someone has tried to send a delete-all, infect all, bullshit scamming virus.
All of my pictures, mp3s and stuff are ok. I can access them no problem and I have all of them backed up on a disk so this sad attempt to infect all I've worked on has failed. Yes, it is a mild irritation, but I'm sure it can be fixed. I'm going to contact the guy who fixed it from monday. Half the day has gone already so there is no point in bothering him.

A lot of those third party virus scanner companies make the viruses and fake viruses their self to make sure you have to buy their product.
